============================================================================== Card Rulings Summary (CHANGES ONLY) Updated 2008/03/17 ============================================================================== Rulings are collected from many sources. See credits and disclaimer at the end of the file for details. This release is under the rules used by TENTH EDITION. Complete text is included for cards from all expansions. These rulings have been updated monthly with the most recent version available on the web (WWW) as the following: http://www.crystalkeep.com/magic/rules A '+' is used to mark changes since the 2008/02/11 release. Thanx, Stephen. ---- Stephen D'Angelo | Crystal Keep Editor dangelo@crystalkeep.com | Former Wizards of the Coast NetRep ============================================================================== - - * - * - A - * - * - - - - * - * - B - * - * - - Brightflame: + If the target creature is not a legal target on resolution, then the spell fizzles and no other creature is affected. [D'Angelo 2008/03/16] - - * - * - C - * - * - - Crib Swap: + Since this card is a Changeling, it has all creature types while in the graveyard or library (or anywhere else). This combines with effects that have you search for a card of a given creature type, such as Haakon, Stromgald Scourge. [D'Angelo 2008/03/16] - - * - * - D - * - * - - Daunting Defender: + If more than one of these is in play, each one will prevent 1 damage. [D'Angelo 2008/03/16] Dauntless Dourbark: + A card that is both a Forest and Treefolk is counted twice. [D'Angelo 2008/03/16] - - * - * - E - * - * - - Experiment Kraj: + If an ability has text that refers to the name of the card it is on, then this card gains a version of that ability that refers to this card instead of the card it came from. These rulings use the keyword '~this~' to mark all places where an ability means "this card" and does not mean to refer to something by name. After imprinting, you can play either side even if the cost of that side is not X. [D'Angelo 2008/03/16] + If the imprinted card is a split card, you can choose which side to play at the time you play the copy. [D'Angelo 2008/03/16] - - * - * - Q - * - * - - - - * - * - R - * - * - - Raging River: + Although the card does not specify when the "east" and "west" designations end, they should be treated as if they go away at the end of the combat in which they are declared. [D'Angelo 2008/03/16] This ruling is encouraged because to rule otherwise leads to many confusing situations that are beyond the original intent of the card. Reality Strobe: + A copy of this spell that gets removed from the game will cease to exist so it won't get the time counters. See Rule 420.5j. [D'Angelo 2008/03/16] - - * - * - S - * - * - - - - * - * - T - * - * - - Tomorrow, Azami's Familiar: + This applies separately to each card that would be drawn if multiple cards are being drawn. [D'Angelo 2008/03/16] + Note that this replaces a draw with a non-draw action that puts a card into you hand. This won't trigger abilities that trigger on draws.
