Printing Information
Eighth Edition is also known as "Core Set". The Eighth Edition was released in order to rotate the contents of the basic set.

The cards still have white borders, have a eight on three cards expansion symbol and "copyright 1993-2003" is on the base of the cards. The expansion symbol is black for common cards () silver for uncommon cards () and gold for rare cards ().

This is the first release using a new card front design. The card backs are the same.

The 357 card set's breakdown by rarity looks like this:

The base 350 cards are numbered 1 through 350. The 7 fixed cards are numbered S1 through S7 and appear only in the Core Game Pack.

This is set contains foil premium cards. These cards are identical to the normal cards in name, text, etc. They are just printed with a metalic foil finish. Every card in this set has a foil version. Foil versions of common cards appear in the common card slot in about one in 12 boosters. Foil versions of uncommon cards appear in an uncommon slot in about one in 20 boosters. Foil versions of rare cards appear in a rare slot in about one in 40 boosters.

Cards were first available in late July 2003.

The print run is unknown.
